MAG256 freezing issue/ black screen

Evening all,

Just got myself a MAG256 box and when I turn it on it comes up with the "infomir" loading screen, says someithing like launching network interface bottom left corner, then the screens gives a little flicker, I then get a message saying 'Press "Menu" to launch portal" that disappears and the little light on the front flickers a few times and then goes out and the screen turns black and does nothing, remote is none responsive too.

I know I'm still getting some form of signal as my tv usually says no signal if the unit was switched off.

Any ideas would be great.

PS if I press the Menu button when it tells me I can get into settings so i can get info from there if that helps anyone.

Update: I took the box to a friends house and it launched fine, I'm with BT as my internet provider, are they blocking it do you think?

My TV's aren't new but they have HDMI points on them so can't think it would be that.

I am having the same issue with my second 256w1 and it is now beyond belief there is no fix for this. Both my boxes have gone down within a week of each other. Different supplier for boxes and different IPTV service providers for portals.

Has anybody managed to get a fix?
