MAG256w1 UDP/RTP stream

Hi Community,

We are using an IPTV headend ADV-6000D which deliveres RTP and UDP streams. The MAG256w1 is connected via HDMI to an LCD Screen and by LAN to the IPTV Headend. I added different IPTV channels and tried different URL strings with no success. The Video is not displayed and after some minutes waiting for the stream the wohle box hang up sometimes. It doesn't react to remote control commands and needs a hard restart.

The Firmware automatically updated to 2.20.03-256 after the first Internet Access via LAN.

I tried the following strings:

rtp://224.1.1.1

udp://224.1.1.1

and after some developer description from the wiki for older models:

rtp rtp://224.1.1.1

auto udp://224.1.1.1

No sucess at all. Do you have any idea. On our Notebooks we can start all the streams provided by the headend ADV-6000D via VLC.

Does anyone has an idea?

I made some further tests with another video encoder presenting a video via UDP stream. I can see the stream without any problems in VLC on my notebook but there is no way viewing it over the MAG256w1.

Now I used a simple video on my notebook and streamed this video as rtp and later as upd by LAN to the MAG256w1. And that worked out!

Does anyone has had similar problems with different MAG units in the past?

The problem from the beginning with hanging MAG256w1 I saw different times during my streaming tests. Does anyone else has similar problems?

I'll do some more tests.
