Mag 256 freezing/stuttering

Hi,

I have a Mag256 which regularly stutters/freezes (but this is not related to my Internet speed), it also takes 2 goes to turn it on, occasionally hangs and sometimes has HDMI issues. The stuttering seems to be related to picture content, detailed (e.g. lots of trees) or fast-moving (e.g. battle scenes) seem much more likely to stutter than less detailed close up scenes.

I am on the latest firmware (2.20.03-256) but on hardware version 7.11-cyb-00 (even though I only bought the box in November 2017). I think the latest hardware version is 7.2 and wondered if the old version might be the source of my problems.

Has anyone any similar experiences that might shed light on this.

YES SAME PROBLEM HERE .. I JUST RECEIEVE MY MAG 256 2 DAYS AGO.. ALL THE CHANNELS STARTS FINE BUT AFTER LIKE 2 MINUTES THEY START FREEZING AND STUTTERS, I ALSO HAVE ANDROID NVIDIA SHIELD PRO WHEN SAME IPTV SERVICE I USE THERE IT WORKS PERFECT NOT EVEN A SINGLE STUTER OR PAUSE... TRIED EVERY POSSIBLE SOLUTION WHICH I SAW ON INTERNET .. IT WILL WORK FOR SOMETIME AND THEN AGAIN STARTS.... NEED A PROPER SOLUTION. I HAVE CONTACED THE INFOMIR SUPPORT CENTER THEY TELLING ME THE IPTV SERVICE PROVIDER MUST CONTACT THEM THEN THEY CAN HELP ME.. I ASKED THEM TELL ME WHAT TO DO I CAN CONTACT THEM BECAUSE I DONT THINK THEY ARE BOTHER TO CONTACT THEM BUT NO LUCK..

I have exactly the same problem on a brand new MAG 256. I have 80 MB/sec fiber connection with 75 MB/sec at the LAN cable connected to the STB (as measured by my laptop). The MAG 256 reports the speed variably between 20 and 35 MB/sec. I run Netflix 4K from an Amazon Fire TV box and that is perfect as is iPlayer etc. However the MAG 256 stutters and occasionally refuses to connect for minutes/hours on end. At times the stutter is longer than the stable sections. I know the IPTV is a stable source so it must be the MAG 256. Also the MAG 256 won't switch back on after use and I have to disconnect the 12v input effectively rebooting the STB. Has anyone any idea how I can improve the MAG 256 performance? I'm very disappointed with this STB.

yes i also have the same issue my is doesnt even process my speeds this are junk

Same problem here.. I have a crappy cheap Android box gives me better play back

Similar problems here. Device (256W1, 29/07/2017) has always been really hot. From the beginning difficult to turn it on, now most of the time the only solution is to unplug. Wireless also been bad quality although only 10 meters from router, we now have permanently a cable through the middle of our room. The complete freeze (were you see scrambled infomir logo's on top), only started recently but seems to come more often.

Any solutions ?

same problem here, bot my mag 256 w2 and 351 are overheating and crush after around 1 hour of play and cannot reconnect or play anything/ please infomir help to resolve this issue
