MAG 256 freezing after changing internet provider

Hi,

I have MAG 256 and few days ago changed internet provider from BT to Virgin. With BT (56Mbs) i had no problems, but after switching to Virgin (350Mbs) after a minute HD channels starting to freeze continuously. That seems very odd as i vent from 56Mbs to 350Mbs. Tried to increase buffer to 3000-6000, changed DNS to 8.8.8.8 but no change at all.

Yesterday friend brought his MAG 254 to test and it was all fine, no freezing at all !!! So how is that possible, what can cause that glitch in MAG 256? Please advice.

Same problem here, I have not found a workaround yet and about to give up, did you?

I posted on another thread with an identical problem. 80 Mbps from Vodafone Connect and constant freezing on a new 256 boX. Tried many alternatives but the STB reports variable LAN speeds from 20-35 Mbps whilst my laptop on the same LAN connection reports 76 Mbps. The MAG 256 also crashes and I need to remove the 12v lead to reboot it. Wish I'd bought a 254!
