Hi, we have started to test mag 322 in our network... Everythings looking good, but only one thing... we use archive vod functions as playlists m3u8 if rewind or forward - some times the sync is not synchronized between video and audio... the same content without problems plays mag 250 and 254... m3u8 live is ok... but #EXT-X-PLAYLIST-TYPE full of chunks sometimes video and audio is out of sync - 1/3 of attempts is not synchronized... regards... version 2.20.05...

    We also have a problem with audio/video synchronisation with MAG322. With MAG254 and MAG256 no problem. There’s no pattern when it happens. Sometimes streams are working well for more than an hour, sometimes problem starts after a few minutes and sometimes immediately after switching to channel.


    We’ve tried with all possible decoding solutions (ffrt, ffrt2, ffmpeg, mpegts, etc.), public firmware, manufacturer firmware, custom firmware, version 2.20.03, 2.20.05, no difference at all. Debugging mode doesn’t show anything suspicious, ffprobe-ing MPEG-TS streams doesn’t show any errors, etc.


    VLC and other players - no problem.


    Infomir support “cannot” reproduce a problem, but after linking to this thread, they escalated to L2 (developers) right away. I hope they’ll find a quick fix for this since our MAG322 customers have no more patience, neither do I :(

      Ok will see... Reproduce this bug is not problem... 4 times play different VOD content and problem will occur... I tried to change encoding parameters - no factor... We are willing to provide content for testing... but only via VPN... thx for your reply.

        I have exactly the same issue. Ive recently got a mag 322 but audio goes out of sync after a bit of time, the longer you leave it on a channel, the more out of sync it becomes, its as if the audo is playing at a slightly different speed to the video. This has been checked on various portals and results are the same. Mag 254/256 are perfect.

          The Mag322 has a lot of problems, the sound synchronization and the image are lost, the reload portal is sometimes unresponsive, and the only reboot device can help. The VOD also has problems in sync and sometimes you get out of the movie. Basically, all the other boxes are ok. Now we have big problems with the people who bought your gadgets. Do you still want to have satisfied customers or to replace the devices from another company? We are expecting your reply. Thank you for understanding

            We have about 2000 Mag stbs... I have never had any problems or if yes - support resolved these quickly and we appreciated it... I can not understand, why Infomir has stopped to sell mag 254... It is for me a mystery... Instead of good STB they are selling 322 - for IPTV operator useless equipment full of bugs... Yes we consider to change supplier in case of unresolved problems for longer time... We have only 200 stbs in stock - old 250 and 254... then... change of brand... what else ? Our customers are used to get perfect service and mags 250 and 254 do it... 322 not... maybe some reply from Infomir representative will be good...

              Same problem I have with mag322. Audio lost sync with video. I hope that new version will come out soon because this is really irritated.

                322 has got some weird problems. In same settings the zap time is slower than 354 and sometimes it shutting down itself (in this case the power leds blinking) without hard reset (power on/off) the problem doesn't fix. ( I lived this problem at least 3 different settopboxes). Mag 254 was best and most stabil Settopbox

                  It terrible that this box has been out for a few months now and still the issues have not been fixed. It is also bad that an Infomir representative hasnt replied.

                    Is there any solution to the Mag 322 sound syncing problem yet? Customers are going to ask for refunds soon.

                      Please let me know if a solution is found. I cannot buy any more of these till this is fixed. Anyone know what other box to go for?

                        i have been looking into this issue and now know what is causing the issue and a temporary fix.


                        issue only happens with streams that have AAC audio, The audio is delayed by exactly 5 seconds. if you press mode on remote (under yellow f3 key) then highligt audio and it will display the audio type.



                        restart audio track by highlighting "TRACK 1 " then press ok


                        The audio will stop for a few seconds and restart in sync. You will have to do this each time you zap to a channel that has the issue.


                        Streams with MPEG2 audio are not affected.


                        This issue is when connecting to xtreme codes panel with latest verison, if xtreme codes has not been updated then the issue is not there.


                        test yourselves and send tickets to infomir and xtreme codes


                        try above and post your findings

                          there is a fix for this from infomir - they have a alpha test firmware 2.20.06a3-pub - its an alpha test release but not generally available - i have it and it works - solves the synching issue completely

                          Keep us informed please as to when a general release is made.
