ssh is disabled on the signed mag images from the update server.
If you want ssh access you need to flash a image from
Also versions of the firmware before 0.2.14-r8 have ssh enabled but after that it was removed.
You will need to update your mag box manually using a USB drive to get access to ssh on the mag.
Create a folder on the USB drive called mag254 and put the imageupdate file in that folder.
Use the USB port on the back of the mag box to do the update.
