mac OSX network

hi all, new to the forum

i want to "see" my mag box (with external HDD plugged in) on my home network.

i cannot find any help or info on how to do this for mac. everything seems to be for windows only.

any help greatly appreciated.

i am looking to have the box visible on my home network. I cannot see any method to do this right now. box is connected to wifi network fin and works 100% correctly so it isn't the connection itself, rather some setting that i cannot work out.
