mag 254 stuck on IPTV after loading m3u file

I added 2 m3u files on my Mag 254. The upload seems to be successful but when I try to watch IPTV the machine freezes. Even when I do a hard reboot (basically pull the plug) I still cannot access IPTV channels. The WIFI seems to be connected (can connect to random internet websites). Any ideas on how to get past this hurdle?
