i have seen this and concerned as i just bought 40 boxes can this be confirmed as real or fake

It is believed to be real, at least its already going viral and many people are reporting the same issue. It also means that a MAG box is no longer an option for that kind of activity. If you use it for that kind of thing then I suggest you consider buying an alternative box from somewhere like Aliexpress.

Solution from who? Infomir themself implemented these Backdoors in the core of the Firmwares.

These "blockings" are coming from infomir! They must have huge Servers running in their backyard

to spy all customer boxes out..

They even looking for snitches to report illegal contents...for me? They are working on a legal edge..

Well from other posts I have seen even here on the makers forum and zero replies from Infomir I can only go on the basis that its for real. Why they would want to destroy their brand and reputation takes stupid to a new level. Maybe someone in Infomir will have the time to kill the lie or say its fact. Worries me to the point I called the supplier I buy legit magbox from and canceled the 40 boxes I was to get and my January back order of 400.

No point paying for something only to have it made unusable by the maker .

So come on Informir its up to you to put this to bed and have the intelligence to speak out

Thousands, if not ten's of thousands having this already, it's real, a fact! You do not read? Infomir even trying to do a kind of "police work"...

what they are not supposed to do, regarding privacy of a buyer and owner of a box.

For me the lack of manufacturer response just confirm they must be. All I can see is them lose sales or someone somewhere will do their own firmware , sad in many ways as these boxes where a world leader.

I read all the info that would come with the boxes and online info and nowhere does it say "Informir" have a backdoor into your box with the right to kill it or stop it working even if you do use it the way 90% use them. I am sure that some compliance rule breaking with gpdr has taken place with the use of gathering data on an individual and using it against them without consent. I have no longer any interest in their boxes and this is my last post.
