Mag 322 freezes

I bought mag322 from amazon, worked fine for a month and now star freezing especiallly in movies, is there any solution or I return it as default?

same here. 2.20.07 is fine, 2.20.08 is bad.
Im surprised its not been fixed yet as theres been 3 revisions since and no fix?
HLS, RTMP are all fine. Its only when using MPEGTS streams

My MAG 322 has also incorporated these issues since Dec 2018 update.

I tried updating to the Jan 2019 update but still freezing and screen going black / control unresponsive. Need to unplug and restart box to get working again.

hi everyone. ive found the issue. all other mag boxes when using a ts link default to ffmpeg as the player. but the mag322/324 defaults to ffrt, and this causes the freezing. theres 2 fixes because i dont think infomir will fix this any time soon:
Fix 1: set your url in stalker (in IPTV Channels) to be: ffmpeg http://yoururl
Fix 2 (if you have multiple branded boxes and ffmpeg stops them from working): add code into tv.js and say "if users.stb_type = MAG322, prefix URL with ffmpeg".
But tbh, fix 1 will work for everyone im sure

Ben, thanks. For those of us less savvy, could you simplify and be more specific on how to make this fix. I assumed it would be somewhere in Settings, but don't see it.

Scottie hi scott. sorry i assumed it was providers monitoring this issue. if you get iptv from a supplier or someone who gives you the system, they need to add ffmpeg before the url - its easy for them to do it. If you use a iptv provider unfortunately only they can do it. I asked infomir to prefix the mag322 like the rest of the boxes but they just closed the ticket

ben_wheway i forgot to say when the box loads stalker it generally overides box settings. but if you send them this message they will know what to do, or should do...

Try this:

On this issue, please try to go to the embedded portal/Software autoupdate and select
1) Autoupdate - Disabled
2) Update to beta version - OFF
Then press F2 and select the previous software version. Press F1 to update.

BigG1203 yeah that will fix it also. if you downgrade from 2.20.08 to 2.20.07 like BigG1203 says that will fix it also. a couple of people who did downgrade had a issue pausing VOD, but i think that was a special case.

it just means no updating your box until infomir fix the issue, but this issue has been around for a while..

Last night while catching up on GOT, it froze and nothing short of powering off would fix it. I noticed the box was extremely hot and the surface it was resting on was just as hot. I unplugged it and let it cool for an hour then powered it back up with the box elevated about 3" and didn't see a repeat of the issue for the night. That was the 1st time it froze up while in Video Club (EPIC IPTV). Think I'll scrounge around or rig up something that it can rest on that can act as a heatsink.

M also facing this issue, its such a pain to watch tv now.
Anyone was able to downgrade? Can anyone list the steps in detail for noob like me :-)

Wow. Mag boxes suck. The two firmware on Infomir's website causes stuttering of audio for some channels. 2.20.7-r3 worked really well. That is now unavailable and i am stuck using custom firmware. Is it so hard for Infomir to make at least 4-5 firmware releases available to allow us to choose the best working one? The two that are now available are no good.

I am having same problem, It is keep freezing after 5-10 minutes uses (Channel keep playing but unable to change channel or move back). I observed also box get quit hot from the bottom at center part only.One more thing i found in my box i tried to play video from already saved in USB and i could not see the video but the audio was good. I have tried to update firmware by using USB but still same any idea/help would be appreciated. Firm ware version: 2.20.09-r4. I read a lot of comment regarding downgrade firmware. But in my mag box does not show option to choose older version, possibly due to i bought recently and never ever installed any firmware before.

mariossoc I bought new and do not have older version available. Is there any other option available to downgrade firmware. I have exactly same problem and Infomir never listen

there is a update july 19th i tried it and no freeze yet only been on 1 hour
go to settings inner portal switch on auto update firmware i think and it should update then reboot
ill repost if it freezes today
