There is no digital optical socket on the MAG520W3 set-top box. The MAG520W3 set-top box has the following interfaces:
HDMI 2.1, Ethernet 100 Mbps, 1 × USB 3.0, 1 × USB 2.0, built-in 2T2R ac Wi-Fi module.

                        After updating the box mag520 to version 2.20.02 the box freezes after loading into the portal. it becomes unusable. is there a way to fix that?

                              What is the latest firmware for the MAG524W3?
                              No matter what I do I cannot get over 13mbps doing a speedtest from the Embedded Portal/Settings/Speedtest.
                              I verified that the ethernet going into the MAG524w3 is around 750mbps.

                                The 2.20.04 update freezes the box, can't change channels and have to restart but same thing again. Update made it worse, not better 😏

                                Please do a Speedtest on your box and report the value.
                                Go to Settings > Scroll down to Reload Portal > OK, then quickly hit the button that has 3 horizontal lines to get to Embedded Portal screen. Then go to Settings under the Embedded Portal screen and then to Speed Test. Perform Speed test and report value.
                                It is better to hard wire but provide both Hard wire or Wireless value. This will help us understand the Freezing.
