Loss of Internet speed

Can anyone suggest a reason why there should be a drop in speed from the router to a Mag322 box? A speed test shows 20 Mbps at the router. A speed test on the Mag box is showing 7 Mbps. The ethernet cable has been replaced without any improvement.
Any ideas?

We would like to inform you that the STB is not a device for measuring Internet speed.

The speed test in the internal portal of the set-top box is not an accurate tool for testing the bandwidth of a particular Internet provider. The implemented speed test in the box is intended solely for an approximate estimation of the route throughput from the box to the Infomir test servers located in Europe and the USA therefore, depending on your location, the test result may differ.
