how to log on to mag 254

i recently purchased 3 mag 254 and loaded portals on it from a service provider. i want to log on to the box using telnet. when ever i try it as described in the infomir wiki it gives me errors "network connection refused". is my service provider not allowing me to log on to the box. i want to log on to the box. please let me know the solution. thanks.

MAG boxes has no telnet, and closed ssh access by default.

Also you TV provider may close ssh access, change ssh port, change password, etc if they use custom firmware. If it not prevent, you can flash public firmware version with opened ssh.
