Took the mag 254 box to use it with http/rtsp streams from my dvbviewer server (with DCB-C usb tuner)
The server is in another location, and can output http and rtsp streams , at the original bandwidth ( 4-12 Mbps )
Downloaded the channel's .m3u list and set the links as iptv channels on MAG
Regarding the rtsp streams : on vlc, kodi android/windows boxes all - sd/hd -play OK.
On mag 254, only first channel from each frequency is displayed on tv . Each frequency modulation ( same like transponders on dvb-s ) has between 5-7 channels.
The following channels from each frequency are loading up ( I can see on the remote server that it's streaming ) but no audio or video is displayed
All channels list are with detailes: vide/audio pid, etc .
For example:
#EXTINF:-1,unknown - TVR 1
#EXTVLCOPT=10
rtsp://remote dvbserverip/?freq=394&msys=dvbc&sr=6900&specinv=0&tnr=0,394000,6900,0,0,0,3,0,100,110,5001,10,0,0,24,0,103,1,-1&pids=0,16,17,18,20,5001,110,118,100 --> plays just fine
#EXTINF:-1,unknown - TVR 2
#EXTVLCOPT=20
rtsp://remote dvbserver ip/?freq=394&msys=dvbc&sr=6900&specinv=0&tnr=0,394000,6900,0,0,0,3,0,200,210,5002,20,0,0,24,0,103,1,-1&pids=0,16,17,18,20,5002,210,218,200 ---> doesn't play
Both on 394000 freq, just different pids for video/audio/epg
Took a while to figure it out why only certain channels are working, but then I've noticed that epg was available only on few ( first ones , on each freq. ) and than I copped on the issue.
On http streams, all channels are working ( except the ones over 8Mbps, due to wan long fat pipe effect , but that's ok)
I just got the box and updated to latest image - 0.2.18-r14-254 from 15jan 2016
Any ideas what can I change to be able to see all channels? ( rtsp doesn't have the wan fat long pipe effect, since it's mostly udp traffic)
