My Mag 254 has been working fine for a few weeks now. It is set to 1080p-50 on a Australian PAL 1080p Sony Bravia TV.
It boots fine, and I can access my IPTV channels. Then all of a sudden at random times the TV screen goes black. The Mag is still on as I can see the Blue light. Nothing happens when you use the remote control. I reboot it, but it never comes back.
I have to connect the AV cable (lucky I kept it) and then go into the BIOS setup and change it to 720p. I reboot it with the HDMI connected and it comes back up. If I then go into the settings and change it to 1080p-50 it reboots and never comes back.
It takes a few attempts doing the same thing and it finally boots with the 1080p settings, but this seems as random as the black screen.
I have tried different HDMI cables and ports, but get the same.
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong, or what might cause the box to suddenly go black.
